More Goals For Mo Barrow – Can’t Stop scoring…!

Modou Barrow’s brilliant season at Reading continues with yet another goal this weekend.

Barrow, who joined the Royals form Swansea last July, is enjoying a terrific time at the Berkshire club, even though the club in stack contrast, continues its struggles, sitting just two points above relegation and were forced to come twice from behind at home to Derby County on Saturday afternoon. The Goal from Barrow sandwiched by goals from Liam Kelly and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson saved the day for Jaap Stam’s team, which earned them a 3-3 draw.
The goal was Barrow’s 8th of the season, having also made 8 assists so far since joining. And is evident the Gambian International is finally delivering on his great promise as a player with true potential. Although it’s a far cry from his slow start at Swansea, where he’d struggled to hold regular first team place in the three years he had spent at the Wales club. The goal was well taken by the 25-year-old Gambian, after using his explosive pace to beat the Derby defence, something he has not done often enough in past – making the most of his lightening pace. Which can often cause problems for most defenders, as Nacho Monreal found out in the Premier League game between Arsenal and Swansea in 2016.

Derby were first to take the lead in the highly fought encounter at the Madjeski stadium on Saturday through Kasey Palmer’s 6 minute opener, but Liam Kelly brought the Royals level in the 16minute with his first time short from 30 yards, before Barrow doubled their lead sixteen minutes later in 32nd minute, but the struggling Royals could not hold on for long when Richard Keogh equalised in 35th minute. Tom Lawrence made it 3-2 for the visitors a minute after the half-time break in the 46th. However Reading found an equaliser out of nothing 10 minutes from time through Jon Dadi Bodvarsson to save the day for Barrow and team.
