STEVE BAGGED GUIZHOU THEIR FIRST THREE POINT OF THE SEASON.

Baboucarr Steve Trawally has scored his second CSL goal in the fourth game of the season for new cub, Guizhou Hengfeng in this afternoon’s 2-0 over Shandong Luneng Zhang.

The 23-year-old Gambian talisman,  who scored his first goal on his debut against Jiangsu Sunning few weeks ago, put Guizhou ahead half an hour into the game with a well taken right footed shot from the centre of the box, into the bottom right corner of the Sipeng goal to kick-start a convincing victory for Gregorio Manzano’s side with the assist from Chinese midfielder Zhu Zehengu.

The Gambian forward, who had a fine afternoon, had a little injury scare seven minutes after his goal, when he went down under a challenge, but was fine to continue, even though he was the subject of a series of other impediments in quick succession, which earned his side two freekicks in dangerous areas before the half-time break, but tthey failed to capitalise.

And they were nearly made to pay for not takeing those chances to  increasi their deficit,  when Wu Xinghan missed a well placed chance for Shandong Luneng just after the break, in the 49th minute,  when his left footed shot from the right side of the six yard box went wide.

Zhu Zhengyu, who was the provider for Steve’s opener, also fired a right footed shot wide from outside the rising hand side of the Shandong box. However, minutes later, former Watford midfielder and Spanish Mario Suarez finally came up with the much needed goal to give Guiyang based bside a better foothold in the game, after firing a right footed effort from very close range into the bottom left corner of the in the 72nd minute from a corner Guizhou corner.

It was a relief and enough to secure all three points at the Jinan Olympic Sports Centre Stadium for the team, who had lost all 3 of their opening games hitherto, this season.
