Pep2The Future of Bayern Munich’s boss, Pep Guardiola, is one of the hot topics in football of late. The Spanish manager’s contract with the Bavarians is due to run out in June 2016, fueling speculations he might leave the Allianz Arena for a crack in the English Premier League.

It is reported the former Barcelona coach has made his decision about his future and has told Bayern what he will do next. He is expected to make it public after Saturday’s game against Hannover. Apparently he has told friends he wants a move to England if he leaves Bayern next summer, with a club in London his preferred choice. However, Last month Barcelona daily Sport reported he had already given his word to former Barca colleagues Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain, Manchester City’s chief executive and director of football respectively, that he would join them at the Etihad next season.

But, a move to City’s rivals Manchester United should not be ruled out, as they also been linked to the in demand boss following a series of below par performances under current boss Loius Van gaal, whom many believe will be the next managerial casualty following Jose Mourinho’s departure from Chelsea.

Infact United were closely linked with Guardiola back in 2012 before he moved to Bayern following his fateful dinner meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson in New York. The Spanish manager had dinner with Sir Alex while he was on his sabbatical after leaving Barcelona. Alex also detailed in his recently published book titled: Leading – that he told the bayern manager he would like him to be his successor at Old Trafford. in the book he wrote:

“I asked Pep to phone me before he accepted an offer from another club, but he didn’t and wound up joining Bayern Munich in July 2013.”

”He had already won an enviable number of trophies with Barcelona and I admired him greatly.”

Chelsea is another club who like to have the service of Guardiola following the departure of Jose Mourinho. It’s an open secret that the Blues owner is a huge fan of the Spaniard and would love to finally land him at the London club. There are rumours Guus Hiddink will be at the club as a stepping gap till in the summer when Pep is free for some pep talks.

Arsenal is another club who might be interested in appointing the 44 year – old if Arsene Wenger finally decides to call time on his 19 year career at the club. Now, that looks unlikely at the moment but who knows, if arsenal went on to have a very successful season by winning the Premier league and the FA cup or even just the Premier, Wenger could be tempted to pull the curtain and go out on a high like Sir Alex did at United. What a story that would be – Guardiola and Arsenal would be a perfect match. As the pioneer of the famed Tikki-Takka passing game favoured at Barcelona during his illustrious time at the club can easily accommodated at Arsenal considering the similarities in style to Arsene Wenger’s passing and ball possession philosophy established at the North London club.

It’s no coincidence that Guardiola is currently the most in demand manager in European football. His ahievements in the game speaks for itself – having won the highly coveted Champions League twice with three La Liga titles and two Copa del Reys in a four-year spell at the Nou Camp.
Since his arrival in Germany in 2013, he has two titles in two years. That’s a tremendous achievement by any standards.
Now If Guardiola finally leaves the Allianz Arena, what would that mean for Munich club? Replacing Guardiola is a big ask considering the size of shoes to filled. A man with such an impressive CV. However, reports are: Bayern have already lined a coach with an equally higher prestige and credentials in former Milan, Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid coach, the three-time Champions League winner Carlo Ancelotti as his replacement.

It’s reported the Italian coach has sealed an agreement with the German Champions and he will sign for three year deal and an announcement could follow in the coming weeks.

Former Milan, Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti tip to replace Pep Guardiola at Bayern

Ancelotti, 56, is one of Europe’s best managers if not the World at large. He is one of only six managers to have lifted the European Champion Clubs’ Cup as both a player and coach and the second manager after Bob Paisley, to have won the trophy three times, having also lost another final in the competition against Liverpool in 2005.
